This is an hourly, entry-level position offering flexible working hours and opportunities for growth within the design industry.


Position Overview:


This position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual to manage all vendor resources for both the Bloomington and Little Canada location. Responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date price lists, catalogs, and sales tools such as fabric, leather, and finish samples. This role also serves as the main point of contact for vendor resources, ensuring materials are current and easily accessible to the team.


In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and facilitating vendor training sessions to keep the team informed on product offerings and updates. This role is essential in supporting the success of the sales team by providing the resources and training needed to deliver an exceptional client experience.


Flexibility is key to this role. In addition to vendor-related tasks, this individual will assist with other showroom needs based on business demands. This may include providing support with design assistant tasks, assisting with floor coverage to ensure clients are receiving help, and supporting various showroom projects as needed. The ability to shift gears and help wherever needed will maximize the effectiveness of the entire support team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize vendor resources, including pricing, catalogs, and product samples
  • Ensure all sales tools and samples are current by working directly with vendor partners
  • Serve as the primary contact between vendors and the team for resource materials
  • Coordinate and facilitate vendor training sessions for showroom staff
  • Assist with design support tasks and client service on the showroom floor as needed
  • Support additional showroom projects and initiatives based on business needs

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and responsibilities
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, team members, and clients
  • Experience in a retail, showroom, or interior design environment is a plus

Requirements

Education: Two year college degree preferred.


Experience: Two to three years of customer service experience preferred.


Physical Demands: Low physical demands. Employee will often be required to sit or stand for extended periods. They may occasionally move up to 25 pounds.


Other: Strong communication skills are a must both verbally and in writing.
